St. Agnes lies at the most southerly tip of the British Isles. To the southwest, there’s nothing but Bishop Rock Lighthouse and three thousand miles of ocean. Jack Hicks was the last of the lighthouse keepers from St. Agnes to watch over our islands and the last Trinity House pilot to be put aboard a vessel from a gig.

The Hicks family have run Westward Farm on St. Agnes since the 1600s where they still press the choicest apples, ferment and mature their premium dry cider. We then ship the cider barrels to St. Martin’s to be distilled into SC Dogs Scillonian Cider Brandy.
